You can cross O'Reilly off that list for sure.

A. He isn't leaving.
B. Definitely would be difficult to have a blockbuster trade between divisional opponents, especially 2 teams outside of the gutter.

I agree but I would love to steal him away was what I was saying dont think any players on the list come to MN at deadline but would love if they did!

Pretty lofty list of players. Personally I'd say no to any kind of deal for Kane! Don't like him as a person or player. We don't need another Gaborik and he's no where near as good as Gabby.
Byfuglien would be nice, but if I had my druthers, Eberle or Kessler would be my only hopefuls.

If you haven't had the chance, go to Russos rants or You tube and watch Bryz's press conference! Pure entertainment! I already love him!

You guys have a ton of cap space. Even with your young stars, no reason a deal couldn't get done.

I know he's average, at best, but the guy is pure gold. Can't believe how worked up some people are getting over this.

Guy was pretty solid when he played for Anaheim and Phoenix. Bottom line is he's a nice veteran presence in the absence of Backstrom and Harding. I agree with Tony, Fletcher got exactly what he needed for a pretty reasonable price.

Why would it say Bryzsater? What does that even mean?

I think Bryz acquisition needs to be looked at in context. Kuenper is an RFA after this season, Backstrom is signed for 2 more years, Harding was the best goalie in hockey throurough first 2 months of this season, why should Fletcher pay a respectable save face type of return to Lou/NJD for Brodeur who has not been very good the last two years. Why send anything significant to Buffalo for Halak who is a UFA after this year? Doesn't make any sense.

Bryz for 4th round pick is simple insurance and no damage move.

Just heard on Barreirro that Torey Mitchell has requested a trade. Lou Nanne commented that he is puzzled by the request.

Nanne also curious about Fletchers move to put Backstrom on LTIR. ala the Dany Heatley scenario, the Wild have once again prevented the possiblity of a compliance type buy out of an aging player taking up valuable cap space on the Wild roster.

Louie also stating that although Harding not put on the LTIR will most likely not be back this season.

Backstrom isnt eligible for compliance buyout as he signed his contract after lockout. Russo said Mitchell denied trade request, but who knows. Not a big loss if he goes.

That's true. But I think they can still go with a regular buyout.

Yep, just dont know if Leipold is too fond of paying Backstrom his entire salary to sit at home for 2 more years.
